Nicci Hurwitz

Nicci is a designer of visual, digital, spatial and interactive experiences. A strong concept at the heart of every project is paramount. Her work includes screen-less interfaces, interactive installations, digital book experiments and large-scale physical and digital exhibitions. Nicci braids design, technology and storytelling to create work that resonates.

Formerly at Google's Creative Lab, she is currently a senior designer at Grumpy Sailor. She has worked on projects for arts and cultural institutions including Google’s Creative Lab, Google Australia, The Starlight Foundation, Transport Accident Commission, Arts Centre Melbourne, The MOD Museum, The MAAS Museum, The Melbourne Museum, The Australian Sports Museum and The Australian Centre of Moving Image. She is currently teaching a design studio (remotely) on Experimental Interactive Design at UTS and is an active member of the design community.

In leading the big creative vision, down to the painstaking detail in the execution of a project, Nicci places huge importance on cross-disciplinary collaboration, guiding and supporting the team with whatever is needed to create impactful, beautiful work.
